Social Security Disability Insurance - sign up for Social Security Disability Insurance - this money can be used for the Housing costs associated with our program
Step Two:
Sign up with your local Department of Rehabilitation and create an Employment Plan
Step Three:
Sign up with your local Regional Center and create an IPP
Step Four:
Look for Scholarships - (we are always looking to add to this list…so please share via our contact page about any scholarship you find for these worthy students)
- Ruby’s Rainbow (for students with Down Syndrome only) - Between $1000- $10,000
- Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarship - $2500 for two years must be a graduating senior in high school
- Marion Huber Learning Through Listening Scholarship via Learning Ally - Between $2000 - $6000 (must have a subscription with Learning Ally to apply)
- Buckfire Law Disability Scholarship - $1000
- NBC Universal Tony Coelho Media Scholarship - $5625 (must be pursuing media concentration of study)
- Synchrony Scholarship for Autistic Students of Color - $3000
- Lisa Higgins Hussman Scholarship for Autistic Students - $3000
- Autism Can Do Scholarship - $5000 - opens in April (sponsored by John’s Crazy Socks - must include a sock design)
