The UC Davis Redwood SEED Scholars have a wide range of community partners.
Local School Districts:
We partner with local school districts to provide professional development in Universal Design for Learning, to advance inclusive post-secondary options for local students with intellectual disabilities and to do outreach and awareness building for families.
County Offices of Education and Local SELPAs:
We partner with local county offices of education and area SELPAs to share research, information, evidence-based best practices and inclusive post-secondary possibilities. We work closely with the Yolo County Office of Education offering professional development and opportunities for collaboration.
State Agencies:
Department of Rehabilitation - We work with the Department of Rehabilitation to provide competitive, integrated employment opportunities for the UC Davis Redwood SEED Scholars.
Regional Centers - We work with area Regional Centers to develop independent living skills, self-advocacy, social inclusion opportunities and the myriad micro-skills needed for employment.
Friends of Inclusion:
The Arc of California - a statewide organization working for inclusion with legislation, policy and advocacy.
SIPS - Supporting Inclusive Practices - we partner with SIPS to advance professional development, universal design for learning and evidence-based, best practices for inclusive classrooms in California.
California Transition Alliance - working to build more transition opportunities for young adults with intellectual disabilities.
Cal-TASH - working for equity, opportunity and inclusion for people with disabilities
